Join a legion!
If you have been playing Aion weekend beta events or are about to start, I would highly recommend you join a legion. “Why Warp,” you might ask, “Why should I join a legion?”. I’m glad you asked. There are tons of legions which cater towards the different needs of different players. It is also a great way to meet people who are genuinely there to help better your experience. But mainly, it creates camaraderie and sense of community.
The single most important thing about a legion is that it gathers players who have common interests or goals. Basically, if you are a roleplayer, join a roleplay legion! You’ll meet fellow Atreia dwellers who also have an interest in character development and Aion’s lore. Do you love the thrill of player versus player combat? Join a legion that focuses their time in the Abyss. Want to battle epic bosses for epic gear? A raiding guild will fit your bill. Like to do all three but casually? no problem. You can easily see the extreme diversity of legions. Joining one that focuses on what you like will let you meet players with similar interests.
Let’s face it, there will come a time when you’ll need help; be it information on where a mob spawns or some protection in the Abyss. You can try to ask for help in general chat, but the response will sometimes be less than desired (*cough*Barren Chat*cough*). Legions are always looking in in the best interest of their members, which ensure that your fellow comrades will be more then happy to give you a hand. Having this sort of support at early levels really makes the game that much more enjoyable.
The beauty of Aion is that you can go from a newly made character to max level strictly doing solo content – if you so choose to. Personally, my experience in Aion has been a lot more enjoyable thanks to my legion; which is why I recommend that you join a legion too.

Join a legion – great idea, but why no instructions on how to join one?
Or how about even more basic – how do you find one?
